Transitional Fall Decor

With September’s arrival I always start wishing, hoping and dreaming of autumn and cooler weather. I live in the very Deep South — southern Alabama — so it’s probably another month or more before our first “cool snap.” So I try to bring the fall feels in with some transitional fall décor. I don’t go too crazy just yet, but I try to bring little hints of the coming season in. I start going bigger and add more autumnal hues closer to the actual first day of fall.

I started to add a few fall touches to my house this past weekend.  Since I was in the buying/selling/renovating/moving process this time last year, I am incredibly thankful to be settled and able to style the seasons this year! This is a favorite little vignette that lives on my formal living room coffee table. I added the little brown glass pumpkin and some acorns around the candle, but I kept the faux orchid and kept the color scheme more neutral instead of the typical oranges, yellows and reds. I quite like how it turned out!
